Warmongering as economic stimulus...
Always has been and always will be.
The thing that pisses me off about the North Korea situation is that I'm reminded of George W. Bush's "Axis of Evil" crap and I never thought Iraq or Iran were big players, but North Korea were. I could logically understand where Iraq and Iran were coming from, but North Korea's dictatorshit is utterly and completely insane...
Hi Kitty!
Nice to hear from you, BTW.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope we can all feel thankful for what we have rather than bitching and moaning about wanting more.
*Yes, I bitch, but generally avoid stuff that annoys me these days like airports and cars.
And tea partiers.
HI AKUBI!!!!!\\
Today I'm thankful for FIRE!!!! And water!!!!! And fresh air and food... And safety!!!!
YES... stay away from cars and planes!
Hi Kitty,
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving!
I feel so tortured that I haven't shopped yet ;).
Anyway, though this was interesting:
But we are now into the "recovery," and 2010 has been a very different year. Its horsemen are of a different breed entirely. Where Keynes and his ilk were optimistic believers in the power of technocratic governments to do good, this year's horsemen are practitioners of more dismal sciences: believers that the market metes out judgments that we must suffer -- and that it is our own flawed nature that makes us believe so. In short, it has been a year for Austrian economists Friedrich von Hayek and Joseph Schumpeter, for plutocrat and Great Depression-era Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon -- and, above all, for Friedrich Nietzsche.
Hi Akubi!
I had a great thanksgiving! Very quiet!!
Bigger problems ahead... thanks for linky... interesting reading.
Hi Kitty!
