Pretty much the FIRST thing an aussie bushwalker learns is to never step over a log. Step on top, then adjust for correct color & density of snakes on the other side.

I've always liked snakes and never had issues with them.

What I don't like is shopping offline.
Macy's really sucks these days.
I need to cool off before I write further about it.

You might not have issues with a taipan or a red-bellied black, but in the bush, they have issues with you. Just once.

When I was a child my father killed a water moccasin with an oar when we were paddling on lake... it was the only time in my life I saw primal fear and violence in my pater.

But otherwise I like snakes... I often would see where they had come and laid down on the warm road in the sun at the end of winter... and a car drove over them.

I better end with that.

Not being in the area, I've never been attacked by a water moccasin, but I think it would freak me out a bit.

I've never been in Australia either (and here I thought I'd been everywhere), but in Baja I played with the rattlesnakes and thought they were sweet...until some Mexican would kill them. I assume Alaska is like that in terms of wolves and such.

Before he died, my Dad confessed to me that he didn't kill anything after he shot a bird as a kid and felt really depressed - yet he would pack tons of guns when we went camping - presumably due to the "rednecks" - but mainly to shoot the many empty Rainer Ale cans he would place in a row.
He would act like such an asshole at times, but I knew he was so vulnerable...and then he died. Fin.
Like a Godard film.

Hi Akubi & Kitty!

Like 8 out of the deadliest 10 snakes in the world live in the land down under.

It looks like the woof-man is looking 4 some nookie.

I found a rattlesnake skin in my back yard last week, probably due to the drought.
