I wish I could buy this mansion and have my own school for Nervous and Backward Adult Children.
Landmark Bourn Mansion (2550 Webster) Listed And Your Peek Inside
dungeon? i had to look that up to be sure... it has a very specific definition (a room used to imprison people). i hope he means basement!

Dungeons are called "oubliettes" in French. A very cute name meaning you'd dump people (for instance unruly servants) in there and forget ("oublier") about them.
Another more common usage was as a meat storage room. In some cold regions, you'd lay a depth of snow, throw cattle or game carcasses over, one layer of snow, one layer of meat, and so on. The food would stay cold way into the spring.
I don't know which of the 2 usages he was talking about, but I'd open the dungeon doors with extreme precaution.

Fuck Yeah!
From the comments on the linky...
"What a magnificent property with so many amazing architectural details. I'd add 10 more bathrooms and convert it into a high-end B&B or whorehouse."
Yes, the commercial possibilities for this grand 'ol dame are substantial and could make some very interesting stories... think mixed use... b&b/spa, organic coffee house/doggie day care, whorehouse/home for nervous and backward adult children... you get the idea...
Hi Akubi!
Yes, Exactly!
I just love spooky old mansions.
BTW the silly Tumblr drama continues:
thesweetestpsychopath:
I thought you could comment on them, well I guess if you re-post them, a lot of people seem to that on here, like those FuckTYeahDogShit people ( I can’t stand dogs, stupid fuckin’ animals that don’t know nothing unless you teach them, spend all your time cleaning up their shit ) that rip-off posts and/or add smart-ass comments, and anyway I don’t really talk to anyone, not even in the “real” world, certainly not appreciated “there”.
Hi Akubi...
I was brought up to be very closed down emotionally and it always amazes me to see people let it all hang out without any polishing...
It's odd... it makes me want to retreat to a spooky old mansion.
Yeah, it almost made me feel bad because I was just having fun and had no idea this person would get so worked up.
I don't see why anyone would take reblogging comments personally.
In cases like the mantis I posted a couple of weeks ago, the added comments made the post much more entertaining than the original.
Goodnight Akubi...
I'm retiring to my room in the home for nervous and backward adult children... actually I have a suite there...
Hi Kitty!
Who said life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forwards...?
That quote is what came to mind when I saw the backwards school image which presumable is politically incorrect, personally insulting, etc. among some of the f-ing Tumblr crowd..Yet it is awesome to be a silly Satanist of sorts...Nothing adds up there...but there are plenty of people I like and I'm following far too many.
Anyway, I need a spa vacation, but I'm currently enjoying another pomeranian pj party. The poor litle guy staying over has a very stressed out and potentially suicidal mom. He has clearly absorbed the anxiety.
Sweet dreams, Kitty!
I like to pile carcasses in my dungeon too. :D
Hi Akubi...
Nice to help out a friend... Pom pj party sounds fun...
Happy Laboring Day weekend!
BTW, I luv, luv, luv that bannister.
Hi Guyz!
The crazy kid was at the dog park today and everyone left yet the clueless mother on the cell didn't seem to notice.
Nonetheless, the pom party continues. Woohoo!
P.S. My Mansion for the Backwards would only allow those functional enough not to freak out all of the dogs.
Kitty,
Thanks for all of your FuckYeahDogs finds!
Spent the entire afternoon looking for a screw.
I bought TownBike a little cooking timer to help her with her professional services. She finds it difficult to accept that a billable professional hour is 50 minutes, so that she will have a little time to freshen up & clear her mind.
The timer didn't work, so I undid the tiny screws on the back & instantly lost one. Eventually one of the cats - "Mechanical Mog" - because he finds paper clips & nuts & bolts & beer bottle caps & carries them around, dropped it on the table. So it's fixed.
Next time in town, after we drive the stock into the Snowies, I'll be giving the girl a laptop & connecting up Internet access for her.
I hope she'll comment here, but you must promise to be gentle. She's been on her own since she was 13 years old, and just hasn't the educational advantages of posters here.
Gentle?
Of course.
The internet connectivity was dead for a few hours which was probably for the best because I was depressed. My former best friend who I wore a horrible bridesmaid’s dress for last year hasn’t returned my call. I had a migraine during their “Open House” party the other day. We’ve been so out of touch (since she doesn’t give a rat’s ass about me) I had to call her mom for her number. Spent $100 on her presents which can hopefully be returned.
I know resentment isn’t healthy and I should be happy with what I have – my gorgeous dogs.
Try and let it go Akubi... you'll make new friends...
:)
Madame AKUBI,
I was attempting to find more information about this esteemed school. It seems that the instruction methods are lost to time. All we know is that the "backward" children were given low-impact mental exercises such as finger painting, and the "nervous" ones were kept in a separate building. Judging from the advertisement, it appears that the stuttering and stammering of these allegedly nervous children was ameliorated by a healthy dose of quotation marks.
I remain,
M. SINGH
