Ritual Cat

Janitoroflunacy:
When the spiritual teacher and his disciples began their evening meditation, the cat who lived in the monastery made such noise that it distracted them. So the teacher ordered that the cat be tied up during the evening practice. Years later, when the teacher died, the cat continued to be tied up during the meditation session. And when the cat eventually died, another cat was brought to the monastery and tied up. Centuries later, learned descendants of the spiritual teacher wrote scholarly treatises about the religious significance of tying up a cat for meditation practice.
Zen

Hmmm, once my batteries recharge I’ll have to take a photo of my insane cat but she looks nothing like this.

This mst be a Rinzai puzzle.
In other news, Candide seem to be on the front page of a Wikipedia - yet another depressing book that ruined me as a kid.

The work describes the abrupt cessation of this existence, followed by Candide's slow, painful disillusionment as he witnesses and experiences great hardships in the world. Voltaire concludes with Candide, if not outright rejecting optimism, advocating an enigmatic precept, "we must cultivate our garden", in lieu of the Leibnizian mantra of Pangloss, "all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds".

My oldest mog, Radar, just got back from the animal hospital yesterday. Bladder infection, bladder size of a cricket ball. So he comes home with prescription pouch food, prescription antibiotics and prescription dry food.

Won't have anything to do with any of them. Even if locked up overnight in a bathroom with said food, water & the litterbox.

First thing he does is to catch a mockingbird and disassemble it on my living-room carpet.

Are mockers on the Urinary Tract Health list? Or do they just taste like chicken.

I do have photos, but they are gross.

On the station, the mogs keep the rodent population down, and we would never spend a penny on one. But, the thoroughbred horses get the best care - even better than the boss's daughters.

Do you have a good vet?

And the Ashes - Crikey, mate!

Ritual Kitty Cat is glad she went to sleep early...

And now she is awake and happy in the cool air...

Maybe I could let go of my rituals and just live in a blissbliss state...

And Messieurs Voltaire and Leibniz...

I think of them like I think of particle physicists... trying hard to know... but our comprehension is too limited... we must recognize the limits of our knowing... "now I see in a glass darkly... then face to face..." one of the lines of the bible that I learned the most from...

Hi Edgar and Akubi!

Hi Wagga,
I'm sorry about your cat. That sounds painful. Poor guy. How is he doing?

Hi Kitty,
Thanks for one again keeping FYD current while I was offline.

Mitchell,
Gospel sure doesn't sound like this Akubi.

Maybe I need a Kitty Myspace page...???

Hi Kitty,
Did you see FYD on the popular page with 175 notes (currently)?!

Kitty said...

Hi Kitty,
I don't get this cat/shark thing, but perhaps you might...
I'm neither - just a confused pomeranian wishing I could wear doggy PJ's to work.

Allo Akubisan...

Puzzling out the shark/feline thing...

My yoga teacher said last night that we need to connect more to the animal thing in ourselves... too much upper brain stuff... if I become more of a kitty though I'll never do anything but lie around and dream... uhmmm.

Yes doggy Pj's for work attire... lovely possibility...
