Of course, I’ve never understood his lack of concern over his financial and legal issues, but I’ve always taken an overly literary/historical/what-have-you/philosophical/itsallfucked and absurd perspective on things and his name reminds me of Cassandra.
However, the more details I heard regarding his treatment of his wife and family, I was a proud card carrying Casey Hater – with a capital H.
Nonetheless, he has been a good Cassandra for the rest of us who thankfully aren't personally involved in his messy mess.

Murst!
I too drew a connection between Casey and Cassandra... but not really. He's like her opposite... she saw the future and no one believed her... everyone around Casey sees his future and he doesn't believe any of it. Cassandra's plight tugs at my heartstrings; Casey's "plight" makes me reach for my baseball bat.
And where oh where are the cards for the Casey Haterz Club?
Speaking of his treatment of his wife, Duane got into the 2 Buck Chuck a bit last night:
C made G [quit] for a lot of reasons.. first she wasnt bringing "enough" to the table.. he was "earning" money and she wasnt, therefore, he gave her ZERO to live on... she had to BEG and PLEAD for daily spending money...
School is for losers, she needed to be home working ON HIS business.. being equal partners.. accept, she want allowed ANY say so.. she had to do the dirty work...
She had to supervise jobs FOR ONE MONTH, WHULE HE LEFT the first time...
she didnt know anything from adam... cost overuns? G;s fault.. meanwhile...
CASEY DO YOU WANT ME TO CONTINUE?????????????
More here.
Rather more here. Nothing earth-shattring, just more of what the relationship was like.
@Notanoptimist,
"He's like her opposite..."
Well, it's all a matter of interpretation. Over the months haven't we learned that whenever Casey thinks something is a sweet win-win, it should be avoided like the algae-infested West Nile breeding pool at the Modesto property?
@Ogg
It looks like I have some "ketchup" to do. Thx for the links.
@notanoptimist,
To answer your question...
Well I imagine the cards to look something like an ACLU member card, but I'm not aware of their physical existence.
@Akubi
For some inexplicable reason, seeing you write "sweet win-win" suddenly brought to mind the line "how sweet it is to be loved by you", American Pie-style. Hmmm.

@ogg
:smirk:
@NotAnOptimist,
Unfortunately, I’ve never seen American Pie so I don’t quite get the reference, but itsallgood.
BTW, I think I’ve found a post-Casey source of looser W-2 amusement.
