@Wagga,
You were really onto something with Thong thung blue theory!

Pentagon just ordered 200 at this price. of course they only need 10, the other 190 are just backups and will sit in a warehouse until needed.

Wow, I heard/read rumors about this and it appears to be true: 'Free Tibet' flags made in China

Tentacle sex with Leviathan. Why didn't I think of that?

I actually met someone doing a PhD on carp the other day - on how to bring their numbers down. I hadn't realized, but they're a big pest in Australian waterways.

Ironic on so many levels.

@Mitchell,
That is exactly what those images reminded me of! That is one bizarre book.

More Neil Diamond in the news: Neil Diamond Night on American Idol. Admittedly I've never watched American Idol and don't even know what channel it's on.

A judge has told the US government to decide within weeks whether to list polar bears as an endangered species.

The decision was hailed by conservation groups which have been hounding the government on the issue for years.

The federal judge rejected the Bush administration's pleas for a further delay, and ordered it to make and implement its decision by 15 May.

A listing could restrict oil and gas exploration in the US Arctic, and lead to curbs on greenhouse gas emissions.

The biggest squid ever caught!

I work part-time in a genetics lab (on the I.T. side) and that squid came up at the weekly meeting this morning! Apparently the New Zealanders are going to stream the dissection live on the web.

Wow, where?

I was over at the dog park and tuned into American Idol's Neil Diamond Extravaganza rather late. To be fair there very well may have been a talented singer I missed earlier, but these guys sound even worse than ND singing his own songs. This show is a piece of Americana I would have preferred to continue missing out on.

BTW who is PhDiva?
Do you think she might be up for a ZB exclusive?
