Parable of the Madman

God is dead
and we have killed him!
The time has come to face up to the fact that this planet has become nothing more than a hamster cage of ongoing BS....

Heyheyhey...

We have the power to construct our understandinng and the power to deconstruct... but truly...

"Now we see in the mirror darkly... then face to face..."

"We have killed him -- you and I. All of us are his murderers.

But how did we do this? How could we drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon?

What were we doing when we unchained this earth from its sun? Whither is it moving now?

Whither are we moving? Away from all suns?

Are we not plunging continually? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions?

Is there still any up or down? Are we not straying, as through an infinite nothing?

Do we not feel the breath of empty space?

Has it not become colder? Is not night continually closing in on us?

Do we not need to light lanterns in the morning?

Do we hear nothing as yet of the noise of the gravediggers who are burying God? Do we smell nothing as yet of the divine decomposition?

Gods, too, decompose. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him".

Over and over we kill God... I think we need to because he becomes corrupted by the way humans form him...

me sleepysleep...

but I like this topic...

wanna hear what Akira/Akubi thinks...

Akubi said...

More about Nietzsche later.
I found out that I'm Times New Roman (timeless, snob, class act who shouldn't take oneself too seriously). What font are you?

I'm Courier...

"not afraid to let your opinions be known, and for me, anything is better than being known as conventional..."

Does that mean I'm a loudmouth freak?

Akubi said...

Hi Flowy,
Edgar is Courier too so you're not alone.

wagga said...

I'm Helvetica.

Something about going to bed at 6 pm with the catz.

Oddly, Courier was a redesign commissioned by IBM for the Selectric typewriters, by Adrian Frutiger. It was meant to be the ultimate in dignity, prestige & stability.

Until Apple used it on the Mac/LaserWriter for error messages.

They said on GLP that there was a riot in Oakland over that Bartcop shooting. True, or BS?

I couldn't access your comments for hours.

@Wagga,
I'm glad we have a variety of fonts here!

@Edgar,
Yes, it is very true - pretty much on the scale of the riots they regularly when I was at Berkeley during the Rodney King fiasco - nothing as bad as L.A. back then.
RSS or regular comments? Blogger RSS comments have been down for nearly a month and they haven't done anything about it.

Akubi said...

Woohoo!
They finally fixed the comments feeds!

your regular comments linky doesn't come on for hours or even days. It must be me, because by the time I finally get on there are already comments.

Akubi said...

Hmmm,
that's weird because they have been having an RSS feed comment problem, but I have noted a regular comment delay.

BTW, I'm still annoyed about being a Times New Roman "Traditionalist" and I've re-taken the damn quiz with second choice answers and get the same results.

Akubi said...

Correction: have *NOT* noted (I was too annoyed with being a snobby "Traditionalist" to add that key negating word.)

Akubi said...

K, just took the quiz with 3rd choices and ended up Courier. Woohoo!
