Good News for Gray Wolves!

PETA: As one of his first orders of business, President Barack Obama has suspended a plan to remove several gray wolf populations from the Endangered Species List. Originally, the Interior Department wanted to remove the wolves from the list, thereby exposing them to harm and slaughter.

In not so PETA-friendly news, we have this bizarre hospital fetish restaurant in Latvia:

I love this Sugarcubes classic:

A yodel of sorts?

Hurricane Dog was the most intense hurricane in the 1950 Atlantic hurricane season. The fourth named storm of the season, Dog developed on August 30 to the east of Antigua, and after passing through the northern Lesser Antilles turned to the north and intensified into a Category 5 hurricane. Dog reached its peak intensity of 185 mph (295 km/h) over the open Atlantic, and after weakening passed within 200 miles (320 km) of Cape Cod before becoming extratropical on September 12. Hurricane Dog caused extensive damage to the Leeward Islands, and was considered the most severe hurricane on record in Antigua. Many buildings were destroyed or severely damaged on the island, with thousands left homeless just weeks after Hurricane Baker had caused serious damage on the island. In the United States, the hurricane caused moderate coastal damage, including damaging several boats and causing 11 offshore drownings. Strong winds caused widespread power outages across southeastern New England. Damage across its path totaled about $3 million (1950 USD, $25.7 million 2007 USD).

Hey Guyz,
Yeah, even though it was Monday, I was so happy to wake up to a president who spoke intelligently during morning news - even if I didn't 100% agree, but Tanuki didn't snort, bark and do strange doggy circles all over over the place - and it just keeps getting better...
Except hot Safeway Delivery Dude continues to listen to wingnut radio and faux newz and called to rant about how Obama (somehow I've become his personal Rahm Emanuel) missed some veterans meeting. I tried to explain how much $ he plans to give to childcare for the troops, etc. – whatever. Wingnuts are just plain nuts. I cannot believe he grew up in Berkeley.

How is it you can have so much interesting content and some place about exurbs is on eternal vacation?

I don't know about wingnut radio but I am very alarmed about 'bama the Butcher with his mad crusade to take over Afghanistan. Obama is killing babies with his air-strikes. 16 civilians including women and children killed by American missiles. How can this butcher look his wife and kids in the face at dinner?

Obama lied, now women and children have died!

When it comes to wingnuts, porn is the best solution.

Hi W!
I think this is the first time i've seen you on one of my non-artistic nude blogs. So as to avoid being blocked here too I remain puzzled over what is and is not acceptable per Google
I'm still in my happy, happy, gray-wolf-saving Obama love-fest.

Akubi, I post on your more "artistic" blogs because you get so little response there for such great work. I want to make sure you have a little encouragement there. I am just curious how many hits do you get on Zillow Book?

I am glad you are enjoying your Obama love fest. I admit I was pretty happy when Bush won the second term just because there were so many vocal people who could not imagine it happening.

I think we can agree that government is little more than a necessary evil and limiting it's power is always good. Large businesses also need to be watched and held in check. Giving people something for nothing creates dependency but without some type of help many people will not succeed. Finally, expecting much more than marginal competence from government is foolish.

@W,
Before Blogger blocked Zillow Book I was getting as much as 10K hits a day, but then it went dead when the crawlers couldn't reach it. It was quite popular all over the world. We'll see how long Nuclear Tentacles survives before some prudes block it like all of my others - ZB, Zillowed, Nietzsche Fish.
