Mmm - KC is not healthy or happy looking. i wouldn't assume the highlights are artificial - it could be natural bleaching - color differentiation.

KC has my coloring and the only way one naturally gets "highlights" like that is being under the sun on a regular basis - not napping.
I think the colouring may be due to swimming in a pool.
