When I was a kid with a regularly broken Big Wheel, I thoroughly identified with the one in the film. In fact, after watching it I got in trouble for writing RED RUM all over the community center (with lipstick found on the highway).
It was neither a center nor a community and I thought all of the "adults" were full of dog poo.
