Thanks for the invite Akubi. I am not so optimistic about this week's entry, but here goes:
S = The Cat in the Hat is always shown wearing a red hat with white stripes.
E = Different colored stripes are what define the resistance of a resistor, an electronic component used in circuits.
U = These electrical components are introduced to students in electrical engineering labs when they are undergraduates.
S = Most of these undergraduate students are male, and a common (mis?pre?)conception is that male engineers often forget to shower and shave.
S = Those who do not shave grow scraggly beards. If you look up "scraggly" in a dictionary, you will find a picture of Casey Serin. Ew.

While searching for Cat in the Hat images I came across Scraptorium. The cut and paste collage is definitely worth checking out.

Yes, Blogger screwed up the formatting of the entries, but due to my looser W-2 I don't have time to address it quite yet.
Murst! (Akubi's posts on her own blog don't count.)
darn... I thought they counted. le sigh.
Woohoo! Edgar takes the lead in early polling!
I guess it's Elizabeth Taylor night on TCM - and Suddenly Last Summer is on!
BTW Yahoo! is eating my AkubiDoo responses again. Please don't take it personally.
There is a tiny low over western Africa at the moment. If it turns into a tropical storm I will name it Akubi. ;-)
