Thanks for the invite Akubi. I am not so optimistic about this week's entry, but here goes:


S = The Cat in the Hat is always shown wearing a red hat with white stripes.



E = Different colored stripes are what define the resistance of a resistor, an electronic component used in circuits.



U = These electrical components are introduced to students in electrical engineering labs when they are undergraduates.



S = Most of these undergraduate students are male, and a common (mis?pre?)conception is that male engineers often forget to shower and shave.



S = Those who do not shave grow scraggly beards. If you look up "scraggly" in a dictionary, you will find a picture of Casey Serin. Ew.

While searching for Cat in the Hat images I came across Scraptorium. The cut and paste collage is definitely worth checking out.

There is a tiny low over western Africa at the moment. If it turns into a tropical storm I will name it Akubi. ;-)
