IamFacingForeclosure.com is over...?

We'll miss Casey SerinHaving followed the blog for so many months, it feels like the end of an era. At this point, I’m not sure how to express many mixed feelings so I’ll quote the one and only Stephanie J. instead:

If it is, I will miss all of my EN compadres very much. Over the months, I have sort of classified many of you as friends. Who else (or what else) can we sit around and raise hell about?

In my case, raising hell about the Bush Administration, global warming, etc. just wasn’t as much fun as Casey Serin. Over the past 9 months, I’ve spent more time giggling in my cube than I can remember. For once, a part of me hopes Casey is trolling. However, I also respect and understand the wishes of his family members. Admittedly, I was so shocked by the news I changed my evening plans for the live IAFF Demise Talkcast

A Vogue picture disc!

I'm disappointed that I'm not able to really muster any feelings about it at all. I had looked forward to tap dancing on the grave of IAFF for so long, and yet I'm too exhausted to really feel anything about it.

Maybe tomorrow...

Thanks Sprezz. I'll check it out when I'm back online more regularly.

dumbfounded,
You noticed! Unfortunately, that's the only one I have. Do you collect them?

Aspeth,
I'm hoping that you will do your part to keep us amused during the KC withdrawal period:).

Akubi, I collect vintage records big time. It's probably my biggest vice. Not so much the Vogues although I have about 30 of them.

I've got one of those Vogue's. It's cool looking, but the music on the one I have isn't very interesting. It's pretty cool that they were making picture discs that far back.

dumbfounded,
If you _only_ have 30 Vogues, I can only imagine the rest of your collection. Where did you find so many?
While I like stumbling upon an interesting vintage/antique items, it’s not a particularly focused endeavor. It could be a book, record, strange fishing toy (today’s re-find), magazine, teapot, postcard, etc. It has become more and more difficult to find them at a garage sale or flea market for a dollar or so. Must be the interweb’s fault;).

FF,
I've only tried listening to mine once and it was horrible; plus I was concerned about scratching it so never finished a song. The music is rather irrelevant. For example, are we fascinated with Casey Serin because of his brilliant writing?
BTW, I’m not fully caught up on all of the Exurb comments, but I believe you stated something about being somewhat depressed about the end of IAFF. Admittedly, I have felt that as well, but have been offline enough for it to not quite catch up with me. When I return to work tomorrow, I fear it will definitely sink in.
Part of the reason why I cut Casey some slack is IAFF prevented me from falling into a bad RE situation last year.
