On the way to work I was reading Japanese ghost stories and came across this poem:
Yoru bakari
Miru mono nari to
Omou-nayo!
Hiru sae yume no
Ukiyo nari-keri.
Think not that dreams appear to the dreamer
only at night: the dream of this world of pain
appears to us even by day.

Murst!
I particularly like the one with the scorpion being dragged for some reason.
So do I. At first I thought it was a lobster which would fit into a seafood theme; however, a scorpion will do in a pinch.
