Little Lance Begathon

I can't get this poor little guy out of my mind this evening. I wish I could foster him, but my little monsters wouldn't help his rehab.
If you have a dollar or two to send his way, you can do it here.
Excerpt on the story:
On Friday night, August 1, Oakland police responded to a call of two injured dogs on the side of the road. When they arrived, one dog—a female, miniature pinscher—was dead, and a small male mixed breed dog was lying on the ground severely injured and in pain. Neighbors in the area said they had heard several loud gunshots, a car door open, then a dog screaming, and the sound of a car racing off. A local resident stated that she went outside immediately after she heard the commotion and found the two dogs in the gutter.

The female dog was examined by an Oakland Animal Shelter veterinarian and was determined to have died from a gunshot wound to the neck. Her back leg and spine were also shattered. The surviving dog is currently being treated at the Oakland Animal Shelter at 1101 29th Ave. He has a broken back and pelvis and a possible gunshot wound to the neck. He will need further surgery to wire his broken bones back together and a foster home in which to recuperate.

”The attack on these dogs was extremely vicious,” says Adam Parascandola, Oakland Animal Shelter director. “Not only were these dogs shot and thrown from a car, but the massive trauma to both dog’s spines and legs leads me to question if they were also previously beaten. It is clear that whoever is responsible for this crime is capable of extraordinary violence.”

When I lived in that part of Oakland (supposedly the somewhat better area) I was rather scared of the _huge_ high school girls who hassled me and called me "Goldie Locks" and such - even though I was several years their senior. I wondered what would happen to those hostile $^$%& in the future. Perhaps they're beating up and shooting small dogs.

Shit like this explains why I have far mor sympathy for animals than humans.

Oops, my "e" key keeps sticking.

Proper speling is for loosers anyway. Itsallgood.

This pooch will probably end up getting more charitable donations than I would've, had I been shot in the neck, thrown from a car window, and had my spine shattered.

Well, maybe when the CashCall goons catch up with me... we'll find out for sure. ;-)

I love, love, love, memories of people like that. When I think of it I always try to imagine where they might be today, and what abso-freaking-horrible situation that they are in today. I hate people, especially the mean ones. Those women are probably in so much misery right now akubi, you don't even want to know.

@Ogg,
Yeah, proper spelling lacks character too.

@Casey/Benoit,
I think your revised plan is far more accurate.

@Edgar,
At the time it seemed rather silly to be afraid of high school students when I was 21, but they were rather physically threatening and traveled in packs.

BTW who is the anti-semitic guy posting on Casey's blog? Did they meet at a Paultardpalooza?

What a sweet fellow, I'm going to donate to the cause. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There is a special place in hell for anyone who abuses an animal.

I completely agree. Thanks for donating!

In other sad animal news, the crippled fawn I've mentioned over the past few weeks has died :(.

Hey Casey! WASSUP??????

To be honest, I did not really expect YOU in particular to come back line, but now that I think about it, I am glad you did just so that YOU can stick it to the Haterz. Honestly, Someone just told me about your new blog so I just had to check it out and leave a message.

Casey, let me tell you, in all seriousness, the best thing you can do in all seriousness is to live well so that the Haterz who cling to every single word you say can wallow in their self-hate.

Anyway, just so you know, “hateful” haterz (not the critics)…I will NEVER respond to your attacks on me… NEVER…EVER…EVER… will I kiss ass just to be liked…either by Casey, Haterz, criticz, supporterz or anyone else.

Keepin it real
MOCHA

@Edgar,
She had a few classic lines like "Get on your hands and knees and dig through my trash for used tampons if you are so inclined :)" and "I am gonna cyber sue your ass too for impersonating a lawyer" among others you can find on her Caseypedia page.

My supporterz™ overwhelmingly appear to be a mix of anti-Semitic trolls, ugly trannies, and unattractive fag-hags.

Interesting, that. ;-)

It took longer than usual to get home and I'm in a somewhat foul mood due to inhaling diesel exhaust at a bus stop in 90-something degree weather for what seemed like a f-ing eternity. When I finally got on then and off the bus, I was so annoyed with all of the f-ing traffic blocking my usual highway jaywalking spot I said f-it, I'm crossing, feel free to run me over asshats.
I really hate cars and shitty public transit.

So far I've only caught up with the octo-video and worry that they end up killing the octopus or something.

@Edgar,
What happens next?

What happens next?

I dunno, I assume the octo let go at some point. That's what they get for messing w/ undersea creatures. Also I saw one where a cuttlefish attached a scuba diver on YouTube. Funny that.
