Congresswoman Richardson's epic struggle and triumph against the black-hearted mortgage industry has given fraudsters nationwide (like me) the confidence to know that -- first, we will never be prosecuted, and secondly, if/when we decide to run for public office, our rampant lack of ethics will be ignored. Another sweet deal...!! :-)

In all seriousness, though, is it possible this was a California thing? Where the housing bubble is/was beyond out of control, and half the state was involved in fraud. Would this have happened in, say, Texas? Maine? etc.

Figures that Richardson would win. Even blatant lying doesn't seem to hurt a politician any more.

As for Mitchell's link, I'm in Fed Ignore Mode(tm).

I always seem to go through all of my books, so at times I'll read anything. Coworker lent me _Into the Wild._ Being in Sean Penn ignore mode I didn’t want to have anything to do with the film or even the book when first heard about it on NPR many years ago. Turns out I met that guy and he had a KC factor that was backed by Russian novelists and such. None of those guys had a clue so that’s how the world goes.
Hating Sean Penn aside, I could very well have ended up like McCandless on a certain level…More later if anyone cares.

I suggest that everybody Catholic who supports Obama turn up at church on Sunday - I'll be at Brompton Oratory first thing* - and tell the priest that they support Obama, then demand communion.

Never took communion in the first place so who cares?
Religion sucks.

Obama has already been briefed by the Zionists and the MIC. We have no choice which direction this country will take.

Some interesting trends in Texas: Interest in "pussy strap on sex teen" seemingly climaxed at around 08:00 GMT this morning, with the epicentre of the explosion lying in Mcallen, Texas

Hat tip to Wagga for that find which is probably worthy of its own post, but I'm rather busy with the looser W-2 at the moment.

I can see it happening in Florida and other bubble market states.

In other news, I think McCain may prove to be nearly as entertaining an interweb phenomenon as you: Dehydrated baby soup is what gives John McCain his souper powers.

McSame reminds me of Bob Dole.

"Bob Dole resents that comparison... actually, Bob Dole just likes to hear the sound of Bob Dole's voice. Bob Dole!! Bob DOLE!!"

- Bob Dole ;-)

I've already forgotten about Bob Dole. Is he still alive and functioning or semi-functioning like the dehydrated baby sea monkeys guy?

Speaking of babies, I'm really enjoying the rants on the Market Ticker blog Mitchell brought to my attention:
Because the "Subprime" crisis and the "Credit Storm" are in fact the precise same thing as someone gorging themselves on food until they weigh 400lbs, contracting diabetes, and demanding free medical care. Nor is it any different than engaging in anal sex, contracting HIV, and demanding free HIV drugs. Nor is it any different than being an out of work single woman and screwing every man you meet until you poop out a kid, then demanding food stamps and Section 8 housing.

We have $100 trillion in Federal liabilities, and are on the precipice of an economic collapse, precisely because we, as a nation, "feel sorry for" and allow individuals to suck our collective wallets dry, justifying it "for the children" or "oh, its only a few dollars."
