Akubi and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Breaking News UPDATE! It now appears Ogg is the winner!

When I reached for my breakfast cereal box, all I found was a black eye. I think I might have a brain tumor and should live in an Igloo.

Now that the migraine medication has finally taken some effect after yesterday’s noxious neuron killing gas experience, I’m in need of some distraction so I shall follow up on the latest news in 6 Degrees of Casey Serin.
Murst, it appears that Stephanie J. and Ogg are this week’s 6 Degrees of Casey Serin and Tony the Tiger winners. SWEET! Win-win!

Second, despite all of my efforts, I am anything but Murst! On a “6 Degrees of Casey Serin” Google search. Flailing Forward (still enjoyed koincidental, though) stole my glory so I shall include these mighty mouse links to remedy the situation.

Six Degrees of Casey Serin

In other blog news, I’m upset about The Death of ToM, the only Wired blog worth reading.

Also, for those proclaiming undying lust for me, please prove it by sending me one of these films (not to mention the latest Paul Auster novel) ;). While I thought I had seen everything, this guy proves there are some intriguing vintage films I haven’t.

Oh, one other thing : I hope Aspeth gets well soon so I can (selfishly) hear about her foray in Bollywood.

Gah. I have lost.

::sigh:: Ah well, the glory couldn't last forever.

Oh, and Jennifer Government? Excellent book.

And I think Ogg stuffed the ballot box.

Or had some chads hanging on to help him out.

:>

Schnapps,
Due to migraine medication, I'm having trouble balancing the latest Blogger bugs, Vista BS, etc.
If the weird blogger infinite loop issue didn't exist, I would have added Jennifer Govt. and removed the stupid Google ads. Wouldn't it be interesting if Casey stayed at Max Barry's place?

Blogger stopped bugging out so I added it as my next featured post and on the side as well. Agreed. Excellent book.
Luckily, you're in Canada an hopefully don't have to worry about elections stolen by ExxonMobil, etc...:)

Woohoo!

Oh Ogg. You ballot-box stuffer you.

::open can, dump worms::

And Akubi, I don't think Canada is all you think its cracked up to be. :> We have our issues. They're just not so Michael Moore-ish as they are in the States :>

Although, I did appreciate "Bowling for Colombine". "Fahrenheit 911" not so much.

So you guys in Canada do in fact have to lock your doors now?
I was a latch-key kid with nothing in my cereal box so unlocked doors intrigue me.

@ Schnapps:

I did not stuff the ballot box. You've got me dead to rights on sucking up to the judge, but I didn't stuff the ballot box.

Akubi, I now officially have a major crush on you. I love cereal boxes (was wholly cereal-deprived as a kid). They're like major breakfast entertainment!

And, of course, props to Ogg!

Notanoptimist,
Did you have crazy hippy parents who always had to tell you corn syrup was the same as sugar on the cereal box you wanted?!

I had major existential crises in the cereal aisle.

A cereal box with a special toy inside epitomized everything I wanted, but couldn’t have.

Akubi, LOL, no, I think that I grew up on the opposite end of the spectrum; I had traditional Asian parents who didn't eat such things as "cereal" for breakfast. That was, like, rabbit food. Or something. So cereal was a pretty rare treat. Funnily enough, Tony the Tiger was my hero... "Show 'em you're a tiger, show 'em what you can do-ooo, taste of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, you've got the tiger in you!"

Ogg,
This is a very democratic voting system, so if your proclamation of "undying lust for Akubi" was merely a ruse to win 6 Degrees, it didn't make a difference;).

notanoptimist,
Well, essentially it is nothing but overpriced, over-marketed, over sweetened rabbit food, but it seemed so much more than that as a kid. The ultimate forbidden fruit.

Umm..... I think we need a re-count.
