Well as Sprezz mentioned in a previous thread we really haven't reached "critical mass" in terms of those ready and willing to meet in person in the Bay Area. Maybe (to use Casey-speak) someone could volunteer to help coordinate the local chapter...BTW, while I generally agree with him, I thought Miguel was a bit heavy-handed in his removal of your parenthetical asides on Caseypedia, but I'm not a Wiki-head so what do I know. As it happens, I may very well find myself in the bay area soonish but it'll be on short notice and not at all laid-back. Long story short, a friend of mine may or may not need to get moved back north in a hurry. I'd have to cease the moment, hit the ground running, and engage in massive focused action. I doubt I'd even have time for a late night business meeting.

As for the removal of the asides, eh, I guess now the transcript looks all "wiki-quality" (or whatever that is) so CaseyPedia will appear more "objective"... and really, removing the commentary only makes KC and Marty sound marginally less sleazy. Initially, I hadn't intended to add any asides... but I hadn't anticipated just how frustrated I'd get listening to the interview, and my ire had nowhere else to go... oh Casey, you are exactly the reason why I am not an optimist. =P; June 18, 2007 at 4:17 PM

I periodically check in and add categories to new pages as needed, plus an occasional bit of snark, but my primary focus was making sure people were adding structure as they added new articles.; June 18, 2007 at 8:34 PM
